Alright, I've thought about it a few hours and that's all I can take. Count me in, if there's still room. My work is a little unpredictable, but as long as I'm not out of town or anything, I plan on being there. Looks like too much fun to pass up.

1st Hill Gang Hog Hunt

This hunt is a Hill style bow only hunt.

Several months ago the guys that contribute to the Hill thread had an idea to hunt together. Within the last week, plans we're made to hog hunt Southern Georgia because it offered many opportunities for wild hog and easy access flying into Atlanta.

As the date gets closer, we will need to plan the logistics.

The hog hunt will take place on a WMA, 2/22, 2/23, 2/24 of 2013.

Camping will be primitive.
Several members in Georgia have offered to bring camping and cooking equipment.
Food bill can be divided amongst everyone.
Archery equipment can be shipped ahead of time to a member in Ga. or Fl.
If you're flying in to Atlanta try to carpool with another member.
If you're driving south try to carpool with another member.
We should have enough tents and sleeping bags to accommodate everyone that's flying in.
Guys that are driving, bring a target with you, so we can practice and do any fine tuning.
WMA license $73.00
3 Day hunting license $20.00

I won't take you off the list just yet, it's still a long way away, circumstances may change. You might win the lottery or something.

Killdear-
I noticed that you've been on here a couple times, do you want me to add you to the list?

Darren
Darren,

Put Killie on the list.  She's coming if she hasn't fully decided that she is aware of that fact yet.  She did buy a proper bow for the event and all...

Anyone have an idea what we are looking at per person for food costs? It's going to be A LOT of food!

That is a fine post to read first thing in the morning! Great to have a hunt to look forward in that slow time between seasons up here!

Darren, I contacted you but please put me on the list, if it helps you to know I will be driving over and have my own gear. Thanks

Alright HillGang-

I've been busy for the last 2 months because my mother-inlaw had a stroke but I've been popping in and checking everything out. I beleive that I've added the latest group of guys that's going to join us on this hunt.

We are up to 70 Hillgang Hog hunters. It should be a blast.

Is there a limit to the number of people allowed at this hunt?I'm considering making the voyage just for the   :campfire:    :archer:  fun alone! Does anyone know if there is room for about a hundred people to camp and hunt? This outing is become a huge event.
