Sights on a vintage bow? Should I leave 'em?

I have a chance to get an older Bear Kodiak Hunter. It is in wonderful condition, beautiful woods, tips, no cracks or twisting! Only thing is...it has these aweful looking sights screwed into the side! Question is, how much does this actually "de-value" the bow? And, should I take them off? And if so, how do I fill the holes properly? I shoot instinctively and have no use for these. Thanks

If its a Bear Kodiak Hunter, there are thousands out there. They were mass produced. Dont worry about the value. Thats a huntin' bow!  Take em off if you dont want them. Plenty will chime in on hole filling, I fill with epoxy just below the finished surface, then mix paint to match the wood color and dab it over the dried epoxy, and either finish over it or seal with a few drops of super glue and wetsand it flush.

It depends on how you shoot.

For me since I shoot instinctive and don't need a sight with sight pins, I would take the sight off, fill in the holes and then take the bow hunting.

Thanks you guys! I think I will take the sights off and fill the holes!
