I use Barge cement for my shelf material. You can get it at 3R.

I use double sided tape, get at hardware stores, and it works plus you don't have to pay shipping charges!

Barney

I've used Barge cement for years. You can find it local if you look around.

BOWMARKS

I use the Barge cement holds firmly and easy to  clean off and replace the next time.    :)      :)

shelf material was ready for new.

Barge is great, but I bought a half-pint can of contact cement at Lowe's. It works fine and I doubt I will ever run out of it!

Barge Cement, but it's all I've ever tried/used in the past 17 years.  I tend to try something and if it works great, I don't switch to anything else.

Time is a great teacher, but unfortunately it kills all its pupils.

I should invest in some Barge Cement sometime with everyone vouching for it, but plain old contact cement has worked fine for me.

I have used Barge cement for years, but the new stuff is not the same. It is tough to remove from the bow. The old stuff you could just roll off with your fingers if you got some outside the shelf or grip wrap. I have to use mineral spirits to remove this stuff. I'm going to be looking for something else I guess.

Barge is really contact cement in a tube, like others said you can get a qt. of weldwood that will last a LONG time and it applies real easy with a q-tip.

or weldwood contact cement.

sometimes you can find barge at tandy leather, home depot, lowes and some of the larger hardware stores, too.
i was told by a sales person, when purchasing an out-of-date newpaper that it was out-of-date...

i told her "i've been told i'm out-of-date, too"...

does that mean i'm up-to-date?

LongStick64

Double sided tape, works well, easy to remove, doesn't harm the bow. But it is thicker than using barge cement so use a thin rest.

Used Barge for years but now use Home Depots contact cement, (Weldwood). Works just as good as Barge and easier to get when you need it.

But will the Weldwood and others come right off like the Barge did?
