Love the story but wish it had a different ending...maybe in January you can get even with them!

The above is an awesome photo...in B&W it would be amazing also!

What camera are you using?

Looking forward to the next round you have with them!

Great hunt.  Thanks for sharing. Hopefully the bulls will be a bit more cooperative in Jan.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

I had a late season cow tag.  Tried to shoot in my parka and couldn't get past it. It was a full moon and we saw elk only at sundown/dark.  Freezing up in our mountains too, but no snow. You gave it a great shot, and I admire you as I KNOW how you felt up there

Thank you, Tracy!  I really enjoyed what you've shared with us.

Looking forward to the next "chapter," and hopefully a bloody arrow!

Wow that looks like fun !  Reminds me a bit of caribou hunting. Thanks for a nice narrative during the shortest days of the year. Hope you do well when you get after them in January.

You lucky dog! Who cares if you didn't stick one!? You saw a mess of them and put on a few good stalks.  In my book that's a pretty successful hunt.  I've half a mind to quit my job and move to WY for the elk!  I look forward to more posts in Jan!
