I have probably owned 50 custom bows over the years. I now shoot a Dwyer original and feel it is the best bow for me. Dave and Sue are super people to deal with.   BILL

They are great longbows. I have a Dauntless. I have shot alot of longbows and they are at the top!

Lamey

very well made, well designed bows.  would love to have another soon.

Not sure which one holds your interest.

I'm liking the looks and design of the endeavor.

Just wished it was made a bit longer...maybe they'll make one that is if you ask them...who knows.

I was asking about them here and a couple guys that had them were very happy.

If you search for it here There were some vids too.

Good luck

As said, great bows, great people.

I've turned into more of a recurve guy, but just had my Dwyer original out shooting last week.  It shot so well that I started thinking I might work on using it next year again.

I have a Dwyer Dauntless that is wonderful. I really enjoy it and the whole Dwyer family was great to work with.

Dave was the first custom bowyer I ever visited.  I didn't buy a bow at that time, owned a few over the years, and came full circle back to the Dwyer.  As far as one peice longbows are concerned they are in the upper echelon.  Here's a link to my post when I received my Endeavor with pics.  Good luck.

Wow that Endeavor is PURDY.
Thanks for the help. They seem to have a good starting price too. Looks like you can get a lot for your $ with a Dwyer.

You can not go wrong with one of Dave's bows, his original longbow has a bit of R/D, is narrow in limb width and thick-cored.  It is the quietest of all the Dwyers in my opinion.  It is a surprising performer, an excellent bow.  However the Duantless, Endeavor and Defiant are excellent bows as well.  The fit and finish of Dave's bows is as good as anyones and he is priced very reasonably ... that must be why his new bows are 6 to 9 months out.  A Dwyer bow is excellent, no matter which design.

Thanks Bob. I have been looking at his site and I think the original longbow is what I going for. Im not in a big hurry to get it. I have a good recurve to hunt with. I think it will be worth the wait.

It is worth a call to Dave to talk about exactly what type of wood you want, what length , etc.  I had one at 40 pounds ( about 46 at my draw ), nursing a bad elbow.  That bow still shot 590 gain arrows pretty well.  I thought that was impressive as the arrows were so heavy.  Lastly, Dave's limb tips are usually works of art, I think his bows are top notch.  Good luck man, it is fun thinking of a new bow.

What works so wel for ME is the riser length, I love the VERY narrow limbs and tips. Also, you get get fancy pants flares in the riser if you want. Super quiet. Light and my go to killer.   BILL

I had a Dywer orginal 68in bow #8 that Dave made for sale.  One of the quietest longbows I have ever shot.  Desided it was too long for me.  After not shooting longbows for a while and then a multiyear search for a new longbow I went back a Dwyer and now have a 66in orginal.  I could have bought any bow on the market but went back to the Dwyer for the design, performance qualites and not last nor least dealing with Dave and Sue had always been a pleasure!

I have all three models, love them all!

I have a dauntless and i love it! dave and sue are stand up people and treat you like family. If you're considering one of their bows i'd say think no more and put that order in!
