I have 14 but two are grandkids' bows. I have been selling off a few but a friend gave me a nice old Ben Pearson longbow this summer.

Jack, if your handing out bows I could use a LH '61 or '62 Kodiak 50# or less if posisable.

Hello all, I have been lurking for about eighteen months now, and just registered today.
I have owned four and currently have three.
My first was a 48" osage stick bow that my grandfather made for me when I was ten, I still have it, but years sitting in my parents' garage have cause some cracks to form. It was pretty crude and had a nylon string, but I loved it.
My second was a 45# recurve that I bought for $45 when I was fourteen. I ended up selling it to pay for gas or books when I was in college, and the guy I sold it to got an eight-point white tail a week later.
Early this year, after deciding to get back into traditional archery, I bought a Samick Sage TDR at 50# and additional limbs at 40#.
A friend at work suggested I talk to Rick Ellis at Striker Bows about technique and after spending some time with him and shooting some of his bows, I placed an order that was delivered last Wednesday.
Last I have the Striker Stinger TDL which is at 56" and 51#. I chose the new shorter length for maneuverability in heavy brush (like back home in NW Ark) and my draw length is only 27".
I am extremely pleased with this bow, and my chrono test hits in the 151-159 range with wood arrows--which I consider pretty good considering the short length and the total lack of hand shock.
The Samick will probably find its way to craigslist this winter.

If you're looking down a sight, and pulling a trigger, it aint a bow.

To paraphrase - "Beware the man who owns one bow - he probably knows how to shoot it."

I can omly answer this quetion if you promise not to tell my wife - haha!

I own 8 (I think) but like you really only shoot one. That one would be my Sarrels Blueridge takedown longbow.

It is really not a fair question............I have a collection of pre 1963 Kodiaks, Kodiak Specials and a few Grizzlies; and then there's the bows I hunt with.

I had too many, just got some new limbs and then riser, and 2 more coming early next year

rraming

one recurve and two longbows, I ordered another recurve and will get rid of the longbows - so 2 eventually and I will keep it at that

I am new, I only have two.  I only plan on 3 total.

I have a Samick Sage and a Bear Kodiak Magnum I got for cheaper than the sage.

I  want to buy a nice bow in February that I really really like and then I'm not going to get any more bows.

I mostly have the Bear because I got a good deal on it and it's a Bear, I feel like I should have at least one!

I try to live a simple minimalist lifestyle but all my hobbies preclude me from doing so.

As I kayak, spinfish, flyfish, mt bike, road bike, run, do triathlon, play banjo, hike, camp, hunt, shoot archery, ride my motorcycle, etc I've accumulated a lot of stuff.

I had many. I found the perfect bow for me and got down to one bow. I was going to change my Tradgang handle to "One Bow Two Strings".

Then, since I like this bowyers bows so much, I had him build me one. Then I went on a collecting rampage. I like these bows so much I intend to try to donate them to the archery museum with Dr. Grayson's collection.

I still shoot the first bow I have from this bowyer everyday and hunt with it exclusively, but I enjoy his other bows also. I think my new handle will be "Shoot One Bow Look at Many"!
