I have 11 at the moment with a beautiful 60",52@28", osage, John Maus "Autumn Storm" longbow getting ready to hit the classified section. Bought it for use in tite situations(pop up blinds and heavy cover) but just not getting much use now that I am a hunting mostly on the ground.

Some of you have the addiction real bad.    :D

I only own two bows and they're both recurves. I shoot both of them equally when bowhunting or when back yard target shooting.

35......but that's accumulated over a lifetime and as I tell my wife, "I'm old, really old.".

I have two.  A recurve (unknown maker) and a hickory longbow that I had to finish.  However, the longbow has developed cracks, so I am down to just one shooter.  Hope to start Elm selfbows soon.

Uhh, I refuse to answer this question on the grounds that it may incriminate me.  To add a little more spice to my answer, Steve Turay (Northern Mist bow maker extraordinaire) said that a policeman friend told him about arresting a guy who was singing like a canary but suddenly clammed up and said "I am asserting my fifth commandment rights."  Cop said, "You mean the one against self-insemination?"  Guy replied, "Yeah, that one."  So I refuse to inseminate myself.    :readit:   BUT....if I did answer the question, I would be forced to say 17...or there abouts.   :knothead:   Of course, I'm not about to answer the question.   "[dntthnk]"
The years accumulate on old friendships like tree rings, during which time a kind of unspoken care and loyalty accrue between men.

Wait a minute isn't this akin to asking how many lovers you had?   :bigsmyl:

I don't shoot and tell.  :archer2:

The quest to improve is so focused on a few design aspects & compensating for hunter ineptness as to actually have reduced a bow & arrow's effectiveness. Nothing better demonstrates this than mech. BHs & speed fixated designs

A 'few"....I'll leave it at that.

I think I caught some illness from Ron W-I just counted 18

14. I'm working on getting down to my 5 BamaBows and one Pronghorn with 3 sets of limbs.

I just sold two and so am down to 7.  I am in the process of building my first self bow and if all goes well may end up selling a few more of my glass bows.  But am also thinking of adding another Toelke...or two...I guess it just depends on the day.

More than I need, but not nearly all that I want.

waknstak IL

I have 2, my go to bow is an old Ron Fox Longbow and I also have a lighter weight Jim Reynolds Ramhorn Recurve for a back up and to shoot when ground hunting.

I usually just keep 1.  When I want another, I trade up or sell/buy. Before too long, I'll start keeping a few around...just can't justify at the moment.

MikeW

I have two recurves and the wife has one.
I still want a 52"-54" recurve for blind hunting turkeys and one longbow. After that am done buying bows.
Time is a great teacher, but unfortunately it kills all its pupils.
