I forgot to lick my arrow and it didn't stick.

I fell over backwards off my Nifty seat, twice in one week. Not really an excuse, but now I cannot remember the excuse I had for not using my Huntmore chair.

Must have plucked the string!

that recurve just shoots flatter than my longbow!

I just blew it, dont know how, but I blew it!!

Must have shot the spine out of them arrows!!

The wind made my arrow plane...

My arrows were cut too short and they didn't quite make it to the deer!

Too heavy a bow will cause that sound too!

Charlie,
That sleeping excuse sounds like me. I couldn't tell you the number of times I have fallen asleep on a stand. Of course, that way I miss seeing the deer. When I miss hitting them it is the magnetic field making me miss.
Hope you are well.

My true excuse: The buck was too close, I didn't know where to put the arrow!

My favorite excuse after reading this thread: To keep it fair chase, I first fired a warning shot over the head of the deer.

My new best excuse: Due to the intense magnetic activity of the sun causing an electric arc, the arrow veered off course.

Unfortunately, this rare phenonenon is due to re-occur on the 15th, my next hunting date.

One bow. One arrow. My ideal.

It's the economy's fault...At the moment I was about to release I remembered I had called in sick and there was no way my boss wasn't gonna hear about this big one so I missed on purpose so i could keep my job.

The quest to improve is so focused on a few design aspects & compensating for hunter ineptness as to actually have reduced a bow & arrow's effectiveness. Nothing better demonstrates this than mech. BHs & speed fixated designs

Arrow fell off the string due to a defective nock just as I released.

The noise from the dry fire killed the buck from a heart attack but with no bloodtrail I never was able to find him.

I missed a good shot today, heck....I couldn't hit my butt with a banjo!

I'm sure that buck had an invisible force field around him and it deflected my arrow.
