I'm up in Orange County  and looking to get back into archery after about a 15+ year break. Back then, it was a compound with a glove ( no mechanical release).
Now days, I'm only interested in getting back in via a recurve and am an eager student, looking to learn whatever I can.
I called around to several of the archery shops by where I live and nobody was carrying any recurves in stock, much less the left hander I need. Did find "ONE" recurve at Gander Mt. in Middletown, a RH Bear Grizzly. Damn that was beautiful & sooooo light!
Anyway, I look forward to getting up to speed, proficient at ethical distances, and back in the woods to do some "whole foods" shopping!   :goldtooth:

Welcome Genaro.

I have a bow you might be interested in. probably can deliver it too. I'll send you a message before I place it on the big auction.

There are a lot of great Trad Gangers in your area. I can think of a few of them off the top of my head. One of them is a lefty also.

It's a great place for deer hunting too.

again, Welcome!

Gino,

Just like Charlie said, there are a few of us in your area. Im in Putnam county, across the river from West Point.

There is a archery shop in Carmel called flying arrow that has a fantastic tradtional selection. There are two locations for Flying arrow archery. Ensure you go to the one in Carmel. The other shop dosnet have much.

You came to the right place. looking forward to your stay.
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying,

Gino, I live in Orange. I haven't seen many shops in our area that carry many traditional bows. never the less a left handed one. Someone gave me this advice when I started messing around with traditional archery and I'm going to pass it on too you. Go on e-bay, buy a cheap 40-45 pound recurve or long bow and start with that. Don't spend too much the cheaper the better to start with. Make sure to check your draw lenght because a 45 pound bow at 28 inches will be 51 ponds if your a 30 inch draw and vice versa. You want to be shooting light to start with. hope that helps. If you ever want to shoot send me an e-mail message...Andre!                    Bellaamore85@optonline.net
