I have always had preferred loger recurves believing that shorter bows would pinch my fingers, stack badly and werent accurate. Well about a Week ago I bought a nice 73-75 Kodiak Magnum at a garage sale mainly because of the price($25). I have to tell you I absolutely love this bow. No pinch at my 27" draw. It is smooth and shoots where im looking. Compared to a 62" 3 piece takedown it feels like a feather in my hand. Does anybody else Feel this way about their K mag?

God Bless,
Buck

Big Bird

I have 13 of them,thats about all I hunt with.and I draw 29" and hunt with a super kodiak,once in a while.and still have my first one since I was a kid a 1969 40lb.

Cyclic-Rivers

Good Bows.

People are always afraid of them breaking with longer draws. I would be afraid of any old bow breaking because of improper storage before a long draw.

I saw an old Fred Bear movie where they were highlighting the K-mag.  the guy drawing it had to have at least a 30 inch draw if not more.  I bet you could get the limb tips to almost touch before it breaks.

Enjoy your great find

The Magnums are great little bows. I use one when hunting from a blind. 1961-77

I had a Bear Kodiak Mag. in 45 lbs that I used for bowfishing. My Nephew was getting interested in archery so it went to him. I really did like it though. Got a lot of Carp with that bow.

You will find a lot of people who love the K-mag. It is a great bow. I don't have one any more, but I loved the one I had.

I just love my 1967 K-Mag, but I've been using my 1967 Griizzly lately.

I plan on getting my K-Mag refinished, then it will be my "hunting" bow.
I only shoot WOOD arrows... My kid makes them, fast as I can break them!

Those little bows perform! I have a 69, a 65, a Lady Kodiak, and a Jeffery Mity Mag Classic. What shooters!

Me too, I loved it. I've still got it listed on what I own but in a pinch I was stringing it through the leg.  Big mistake!  Mine was a lefty at 72lbs.!!!!!! Couldn't shoot it accurately now anyway I guess.
