I think some of you remember this pic from 12-15-10. Well I never got a shot at this guy and he disappeared.

Me and longbowben have been looking to put another stand in a saddle about 100 yards from where those pics were taken. I hung a stand on Tue. off a bean field and I threw one of my homebru IR cams(hence the pink pic)in there. Checked cams today and lookie what I got. This is definately off the same gene pool as the buck from last year. Even has the little kicker on the G-2 on the right side(left side in pic). I'll take daddy or son. This latest pic was taken at 1645. Plenty of daylight.

Seems like you could be looking at the same deer....  Think?

Getting a sticker in the exact same place is amazing odds.....

He's going to be madder when a 160 snuffer deflates his lungs. Lol

Thought so at first, but the body size this year is smaller.

Ahhhh, NO! Didn't take long to think about that one.

I should say, unless I see  the big 8 we've been after the last couple years. Then I might let him go.

2nd thought, nah, he will get an arrow if given the opportunity. Hate to shoot a young deer like this. But he has a heck of a rack.

I don't know, but I'd say that is the same deer. A thickened out winter coat will add some pounds to him.

Very nice one - whether he is the same deer or not.  Be nice to have 2 of them running around the area!

That is a really, really awesome deer...but I'm kind of with Bruce, I think it's the same deer.  He's just not gonna have that thick neck in September that he'll have in December.

Same deer or different deer though, I'd loose an arrow at him!

buckeye_hunter

If you really want some help... I can set up my treestand 20 yards further up the trail and "help" you hunt him. It would double the odds for success!
