Nj and the adirondacks? Curious, which do you like best? I run into a lot of good jersey folks when Im up in Indian lake. Good luck with those heads, they look well built.

Robert Honaker

never used them, but like the looks. i bet they will work very well.

Hvae seen him kill stuff with them, very effective.

owlbait

I think bowwild has used them. Might be a thread around where he gives some advice. Good luck.

Hands down Izzy, Adirondacks!!

Indian Lake not too far, I'm in So West corner of park below Old Forge.  In West Canada Wilderness.  Bud of mine and I flying in above Lows Lake mid-October, chase bears and bucks around, throw a few flies, listen to the loons and forget life for awhile...  :campfire:

Love it there as does my entire family...

Never tried the Helix, just wondering about them. Been a pretty diehard ABS Ashby guy...fly great and hit like a ton of bricks...zip through everything I shoot at so far...  :archer2:

I use now them but have only taken one animal with them so far. I shoot a 45@28 Big Jim Buff and draw 27.25 inches so maybe 43#s or so at my draw length. I took a 275/300ish# bear at an honest 29 paces slight quartering away with a complete pass thru. I used a GT 3555 Traditional with a right wing helical fletch and with a 100gr brass insert and a right wing 100gr Helix. The blood trail was astounding and the bear was recovered in a very short distance. Needless to say I like them and my arrows fly perfect.
