45lbs at 27", all set up for hunting. would you shoot a 373 grain arrow at 177fps or a 555 grain arrow at 154fps? trajectory isn't an issue.

Already know which one I'm going to shoot, just curious as to what others would do.

I would get antsy if I shot arrows that were below 9 GPP (grains per pound). I wouldn't want to put any undo stress on my limbs that might damage them. With that said, I'd shoot the 555 grain arrow.

I will disagree, my hair covered computer likes and arrow that has a flat trajectory and anything over 8gpp is fine for what you are hunting. I killed quite a few deer and a coyote one year shooting 42#s at 28" draw and the arrow weighed 350 grains. Shot thru the whole length of a big coyote that year.  I am shooting 52#s this year at 28.5"s and shooting 8.6 gpp. I feel confident this set-up will be good deer medicine even big deer. Shawn

555 for me. quieter is nice.
I agree with what Rob said. I'd take an arrow that's a little bit slower because it's heavier because it's gonna carry more kinetic energy and with my bows they are more quiet than a lighter arrow.

20 yards and in heavy always for me.

You have stated that trajectory is not an issue.

A ~29% increase in momentum incurred by shooting the 555 gn arrow design could possibly yield substantial dividends under given and very possible circumstances.
