I am shooting a 54" Shrew Classic Hunter 44#@26".
I'm currently using Beman Classics 600 with 75 gr brass inserts and 125gr tips, (200 gr up front) @28" long.They fly great with this set-up.

I would like to know if the 35/55 would be ok with the same 200gr tip or would I have to go to the next size up?

Thanks for the help.

David, I know the Shrew bows love heavy arrows.  Your setup is real close but maybe a tad stiff yet with 3555.  You may find you need to add 50 grains up front or cut them 28.5-29 inches long.  I would start by cutting them to 29 inches and tune from there.  They should fly great out of that bow!!   :thumbsup:

My 56" (49#@28") Shrew CH likes the GT 3555, cut at 29.25" with 150 gr. tip.    :)   As mentioned, check out Stu's calculator.     :thumbsup:

The 3555 might work if you shoot them full length,but may be a bit stiff,less forgiving.If you want to cut them down go with the 1535.Be prepared to experiment  with tip weight

Yep.....don't cut 'em.  The more you cut 'em, the stiffer they get.

I am shooting a couple of pounds more than you, at about the same length. I am using the 3555s with a 175 grain tip, cut to 28". I think you could do some experimenting there and not end up with trash or tomato stakes. Try them full length, and cut back a quarter inch at a time if you can. You may want to start with a LIGHTER tip (150 grains or so) until they show stiff, and then put on your 200 grainer.

Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;

You should be shooting the 1535's. They are .600 spine and should work well. the 35's are going to be too stiff.
