wanting to buy a belt sander for the shop and was wanting info on what size to get. i was thinking 4x36 or 6x36. i will be using it for shaping limbs and whatever else may come up. just curious on price where to look and what size is needed for the hobby bow maker. thanks

try grizzly.com for an economical priced item you can't beat it.  I would go with the 6x80 edge sander and that would be all you need.

x2 on grizzly.com.Quility shop tools easy on the price.Repair parts as well, remember a large sander will do small stuff better than a small sander does large stuff.

If you have the room in your shop a 6x48 is the one I recommend.

I'm with Eric on this. I bought a good used one from a cabinet maker. It will last me the rest of my life.

Get a 6 x 48.  I have a 4 x 36 and it is just too short too often.
