I want to refinish my longbow. I know that I can sand down the wood ,and refinish with Tru oil , or something similar. I have a question about taking the scratches out of the bow's back. I had snake skins on it,but I want to return it to original.I had to scuff up the glass side to apply the skins. How to I clear up the scuffing on the  glass finish? Any help would be great.
Thanks in advance,
D

Fly,I've refinished many bows, its not hard to do.Start out with around 200 grit sandpaper and go progresivly finer taking off the old finih right down to the bare wood and glass.I go down to 400.On the glass start with around 250 ,then 400 right down to 600.I use wipe on Minwax Poly, sanding between coats. You'll surprise yourself how it looks.Just take your time and make sure the poly is dry between coats.Best of luck.
