Jim,  That looks great.  Most hunting DVDs are unwatchable these days.  Gotta keep these trad videos coming.  Thanks, Brian

I really hope that all of the folks that love to complain about the programming on the "hunting" channels , will support those that put forth the effort to bring out videos like this. I can tell you folks, it takes a lot of time, effort, and money to produce a quality video. Just having a camera along on your hunt will cost you shot opportunities that you would otherwise get. Thanks Jim for providing us the chance to enjoy your hunts. That being said can I preorder?

Thanks for the compliments guys. Bill, you are so right on track about costing shot opportunities. The whitetail that you see early on in the trailer actually walked right behind me and had I not been filming, I'd a had a 7 yard shot but he switched trails behind my treestand at the last moment and I was'nt able to get turned around in the stand with my camera in time to get him in the shooting lane. After that, there were no more opportunities at him, just filmed him walking away. I had several other encounters with him throughout the season, never with anymore opportunities until the last evening of archery here in Montana. He walked right under me at 5 yards and was broadside. With my Selfbow in hand, I calmly filmed him walking away as he had dropped both of his antlers the previous week. I simply watched him walk away that evening with anticipation of meeting back up with him this coming fall. I will be there with my camera again.
I have not hunted once since 2008 without a video camera at my side on a tree arm or tripod and it has cost me several shot opportunities but with that comes the enjoyment of sharing those rare moments where everything did work out and I can share my hunts with everyone because of that. There are just a handfull of us here in Montana that have been dedicated to filming and therefore it has taken a good long 3 years to gather the footage we needed to put this together. We emphasize the enjoyment of "Do It Yourself" whether it is scouting, hanging stands, filming you name it. This video is dedicated to the folks who have to work for a living but grab their stickbow whenever they get a chance to. We are not a big crew or have alot of time and money to put together a dvd in one season like some of the Big Namers out there. I think most of us here will relate well to this type of video. At the same time we have a very talented editor that really takes and makes a great story and enhances each hunt with the use of his skills, graphics and music in some cases while keeping it real, as it happens type footage.
At this time we are not going with any pre-orders but rather giving the heads up to all that are interested in this video so we can get an idea of quantity for our first run of DVD's.
We appreciate all here at Tradgang and look forward to providing a dvd full of excitement in the spirit of trad hunting with a good message behind what we do. We hope you all will enjoy.
