Oneida lake is just starting to heat up with the carp spawn! I'll be heading out near the end of the week in the mornings when I get home from work! I can't think of a better way to unwind after a stressfull night on the job!!

I needed to run my boat in fresh water after having it in Chincoteague over the weekend so Tyler and I went out for an hour or so. He shot 3 and caught a big turtle. The turtle went right back in. He was not a happy terrapin.

Danny Rowan

Should have cooked that "snapper" up good eating I am told.

Went scouting from shore last night. I saw about 5 small ones but it was cold and windy.  I saw 3 nice snapping turtles.

Picked a few Carp last night with T. Rec.  wind made it tough to see in the water but I still managed to miss a few and had a few pull outs.

Terry shot a hog, we thought it was a boulder until it moved.

I missed a goldfish but they are still on my to shoot list.

Joe's gone so I just talked my wife into going with me, she's going to push the boat around while i do all the shooting for a change   :bigsmyl:   This will probably cost me dearly   :help:  Joe and I each shot one yesterday in the rain, not a productive day.

Spent last Sunday and this Sunday morning on the Majestic Wallkill River, AKA the Big Muddy.Scored on this nice fish last Sunday.

BEautiful morning this Sunday. I basically played guide for my friend Timmy C. Trying to get him his first fish. Plenty of opportunities, just couldnt seal the deal.
I love this river !

That pic is medicine Glen. Glad you had fun. The 2 times Ive been out they were stuck way out in the channels that I couldnt wade. Im gonna have to hit some honey hole wading spots.Real nice country down there. Im going to deer hunt down your way, it will be nice to try out some different habitat.

J.Williams

It's all good Jim.
Glen, the Wallkill has a lot of meaning to me too.Is that 1st pic.in Gardiner by any chance?

Cyclic-Rivers

The Wallkill is indeed a special river.

It has been the source of many special occasions and much misery.  I swear that river has a personality and soul.

Congrats Glen, great Pics.

Izzy, There are some places down there that make it seem too easy. just remember the antler restrictions if you are close to Jeff. If you are closer to Glenbo, you should be ok.

J.Williams

Here's a couple pictures from the other night with Charlie. Tough night due to the Hudson River tide being the lowest that I've ever seen it. Charlie had to manually put my boat on the trailer. Good thing he is a strapping young man.

First fish of the night for Charlie. It was after far fewer shots than last time we went out. The guy is just getting to be a carp killing machine!

Charlie made a great shot on this one. Moving target and all.

Charlie did let me shoot one time.

Bow fishing is really weird here in Illinois this year they go one day then nothing for several days. The rains and high water are not helping.  I did get Lucky and shoot one nice fish. My favorite fish the Bighead Carp are not up in the flooded backwaters like they have been in the last several years.
