Take a look at these. Anyone local (50 miles) that wins one, I will Install a handle and deliver it, while we go after carp together.

One is in auction #1 and the other I believe in auction #2.

I was out this morning and saw two sets of fish rolling and splashing in the shallows.I got out of the canoe and got close enough for a shot.Unfortunatly I missed. We caught 18 smallies until I got my partners treble hook buried in my face. spent the rest of the morning in the E R.Will try again in the morning.I did see two large snappers and a beautiful bald eagle, and NO people.nice

That is awesome!  Joe is getting to be a grown man. Tell him congrats.

don s - carp were originally brought to the US as a food source when the white tail pop dropped. Ive never eaten them but there are guys in my area that do. Off the bone, baked or top shelf of the grill. Ive been told they have a panfish flavor so that sounds good to me really.

Shot one a few nights ago - got a recipe off the internet for pickled carp - giving it a try.  Has to soak in the fridge for a week so I haven't tried it yet - who knows what it will taste like-but is smells like pickled herring.
Enjoy the hunt!  - Mitch

Glen,  I hate to hear you buried those trebles in your face.  When I had the same thing happen the doctor recommended I save a trip to the ER and loop some string around the hook and give it a  yank.  A shot of something strong wouldn't hurt either.

Great fish and shot Joe

Terry, I am battling through a sinus infection right now but once my head clears up, I'm game. 17 people, that's a big dinner table   .

If you hit em right you can have shooting all day down off 44/55 in Gardiner.  Now's about the right time.
