Hiya boys, just wanted to show off my latest find. I was working at a customers home they other day and noticed some hunting and archery gear sitting on the floor.
We got to talking because i have the same bow case. The older gentle man said that all that stuff is goin to the yard sale and asked if I would like to take a look. Well long story short, this man pulls out a Bear "Grizzly" in pristine condition. Guys when I say pristine I mean it look like it just came off the show room floor.
Heres where it gets good. Holding back my amazement off the condition of this old bow. He asks me if I am interested in buying it along with ALL its accessories and matching bear arrows.
I reply hell yes I am...he "oh good because I really didn't think I would be able to sell it".

Gimme $20 bucks for everything

I'll get some pics up soon, seem photobucket is down right now?

Great story... I do real estate home inspections and I keep hoping to run across a find like this. Hundreds of houses in the last 6-7 years and maybe seen archery gear 3 times. I'd like to see pics if the bucket starts working again.

PhotoBucket is working fine for me. What's your malfunction?
Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;

You got a good deal!  He didn't.  He set the price. And people complain about us car salesman ripping people off:)

I'll buy it all from you for $60.00.  You'll double your money and have some for shipping.

That is like a barn find for an old car.  Hope you enjoy the bow and great story.  Thanks for sharing.

Thanks guys, I did feel a little bad when I got home and thought about it. But he was happy so I guess I can't dwell on it.

Does anyone know how to tell the age or year the bow was made?

Here's a few more pics:

WHAT A PACKAGE!  By the looks I am thinkin a 1967.  What is the serial #?

In the mid to late 1960's you could tell the year by the first # of the serial #.

I have a 1967 43# that I was stacking up arrows with last night.  I really like that bow.

That's a find of a lifetime.
What is the serial #, AMO and weight?

Hey thanks guys here's the serial# 7R6367

1967!

I have a "thing" for Grizzlies.  I have a few of them.  My 1967 is defintely one of my favorites, if not THE favorite right now.  I am not sure what it is about that year but I have heard from others how much they like 1967 as well.  It was a good year for Grizzlies.  Not the prettiest year, not the ugliest, but one thing is for sure, mine sure does shoot well.

Enjoy that bow!
