:saywhat:  ....................is this a trick question?

I started using a Millenium tree seat, without the tree.  Charlie Lamb let me try his last year and it was real comfy and quiet.

Osage61

I kneel, and put my butt on my heels. I can sit for hours that way and I practice doing it at home. Right now it appears to be the only thing I can do well in hunting    :biglaugh:

i build a seat rite on the spot, by building a little log cabin type structure -two 6-8 in. logs layed away from tree with one across the top of them, it works for me and i dont have to drag a chair around the woods with me, giver a try.

I sit on a log, or a little folding tripod stool that I bought at a sporting goods store.  Just fits in my day pack, and get me off the ground plenty to pull a bow.

The hunter seat is a neat seat, simple, light, east to carry. It's only rated for 300# though.

I don't know what its called (bought it along time ago) but it screws into the tree so you can put it at any height you want. If I don't use that I do what Osage61 does.

I use a variation of the Dean Torges tree seat.

If you sit on the ground you usually must make a lot of motion to shoot towards your right or over the right shoulder.  With your knees below your hips it takes a LOT less effort and motion to stand or twist to that side.

Currently a closed cell foam pad is my goto when sitting on the ground. Weighs ounces and insulates my big butt from the cold hard ground.

I do plan on fooling with a parachute chair sort of like this one (but without the Aussie accent and dramatic pauses)...

Think a crafty trad archer could make one of these that would disappear in the woods and would weigh very little.  If it works out in test, I plan on cutting sets of tripod poles this summer and leaving them close to all of my typical ambush spots for this fall.

sometimes use just a well placed 5 gallon bucket.
Bowhunting is "KILL and EAT" not "Catch and Release".....Semper Fi!

I have a foam pad for hunting off my knees like mentioned above, makes it a whole lot more comfy. I also have a stool and a tree seat that straps on the tree. The trouble with the tree seat is the tree gets in the way once in awhile.lol.

I used to sit on one of those tripod rotating seats until it broke out from under my fat butt!

Waldrop pac seat     the best seat I have ever found with over thirty years hunting on the ground.

I think I am going to buy a Huntmore 360.  Anyone have experience with these?
