Has anyone had any experience with these broadheads.  I shoot a 565 grain carbon arrow so I have a lot of room to play with different broadhead weights.  I was looking at the 205 grain two blade screw in Interceptors for elk season this fall.  I was curious how they spin test as well as how quiet they are in flight.

I shoot both the 190 gr, interceptor and the 135 tiger shark, both fly great and spin test great as well.
I would definately recommend the steelmaster sharpener they sell, easy to use and puts a very sharp edge on them.
I can also highly recommend Centaur archery big game head, used these last year, devastating holes in the deer.

TommyBoy

Very quiet and they shoot like darts. Perfect head for elk IMHO.

The steelmaster sharpening system works on the Centaurs also. The wheel sharpener that Jim at Centaur sells also works very well on the centaur and Simmons heads

Hi Guys,
I have shot Interceptors (and the other Simmons heads) since the late 80s and have never had one let me down. The concave edge takes a little getting used to with regard to sharpening. Like the others above, I like the steelmaster. Sometimes I will use an accusharp for quick touch-ups in the field.

Jim Neves (Centaur)told me he designed his heads during one of the times that Simmons was in ownership transition and not available. I bought 6 of his heads last year (R bevel) and am very impressed - they are the Interceptors cousin on steroids! Did not get to take a deer with a Centaur last year but keep one in my quiver for hunting in thick spots.

The paper wheel sharpeners work great on concave edges and are how I now do all of my home shapening. I do not have Jim's narrower wheels (yet) because my old ones are not worn out.

They spin great and fly great.  I personaly use the tiger shark but think the interceptors are great too!
