Mike Spaulding

Good morning all!  I have had the pleasure of having a bow built over the past 3 months by who I now consider a friend, Steve Tallant (Sixby here on tradgang) of EagleWing Archery.  What an absolute gentlemen, and incredible artist.  I ordered a 58" Eaglewing Talon in November from Steve after much deliberation on the bow I wanted.  I've been through so many in search of "the one" and I couldn't be more pleased.  Steve recommended I go to a 60" bow after seeing the size of my hand and with my preference for a low grip.  Steve, I love it, the bow feels incredibly stable after the shot, no hand shock, Quiet quiet quiet (static tips really work!), smooth to draw, just amazing.. I can't say enough good things..  I'm taking pictures this week in the bow's natural environment and will add them to this post by the weekend.. you guys HAVE to see this bow.  Zebra wood limb veneers and stripe through the riser, Claro walnut everywhere else on the riser, elk tips and overlays front and back of the grip.. it's art that REALLY functions.

Steve is a sponsor so PLEASE check him out if you haven't already.  I'll get those pics up ASAP, I just wanted to let you all know how happy I am with both him and his work.

I have a had a great experience with Steve as well. I sent him an email about a month ago asking for a short but stable bow that I could use for turkey hunting. He reply with a one peice Talon, 56" 60@28. He told me that this bow was going to be his personal bow but it fit what i was looking for. I will start another thread in a day or two with pictures because I dont want to take anything away from Mike's story. I just wanted to add that Sixby if a great guy and i had a great experience doing business with him.

It will be the first picturing on the net of the Talon 11. This years model. I will be keeping the Talon 1 in the lineup but this is a different limb with a more open static recurve and a bit more reflex in the limb/

Thanks Mike and Ryan, The pleasure is mine gentlemen.
God Bless you all and have a geat day, Steve

Felix, I think when you see this bow you will like it. Actually it reminds me of a Blacktail but with a foreward riser. The limb is static though.
God bless you all, Have a great day. I can't wait to see the pics. Steve

Thanks Kenny, That is a real complement coming from you sir.
I'm working on one now that is an interesting bow. It is belly mounted D and r with double carbon foam core limbs , koa and maccassar and tigerwood riser. I might just keep this one for myself. I'm sitting here comparing it to Andy's Maccassar Viper Kahn.
Hurry up pictures!!!! LOL

God Bless you all, Steve
