Myrtle Veneers and ?????
«

I'm thinking of my custom order with Myrtle Veneers, I'm wondering about Riser Woods either natural or Dymond wood?
Any Pics? I know Myrtle as all veneers can vary from light to dark...
Thank you

Here is myrtle with cocobolo riser. I think Ragnarok is correct - any dark wood will look great with myrtle.
I am amazed at how different this myrtle is from Idaho Curt's

The myrtle onj that Tall Tines is to die for. I have two gunstock blanks I bought 30 years ago that are like that but I can't stand the thought of cutting them up.

I have myrtle venners are the belly of my bow and it looks great with the brown actionwood riser, and bubinga and leopardwood accents. Not as figured as IdahaCurts myrtle, it is more a creamy yellow and mottled brown.

I'm having a Silvertip TD Recurve made with Macassar flares in a rosewood dym. riser and myrtle (from Idahocurt)veneers.
I have (below) a Blacktail Elite VL (1-piece) with a myrtle footed Cocobolo riser and the same combon (coco and myrtle) limb veneers.

The limbs on this Blacktail are highly figured myrtlewood. Very hard to find.

I have a Toelke Whip that has Myrtle veneers with a Bacote riser. I also have a Robertson Vision Falcon with Myrtle veneers and a ebony riser. Both look great and with the various colorations of Myrtle many different woods will match quite well.
