Archery is: Getting as far away from the target as you can, and still hit it.
Bowhunting is: Getting as close to the target as you can, and not miss!

Favorite to hunt would probably be wild boar or feral hog (depending on what part of the country I'm in).  They're a blast in that they're pretty bright, they often cook up well and they're a nuisance animal to boot.

I don't have a dream hunt anymore per se, I've hunted coastal brown bear as a "dream hunt" and had a real good time but nowadays I enjoy the hunting more than the capture on the big animals.  Nowadays to me there is a quality with the larger animals where I'd rather be in amongst them than killing them...> but that could change at any moment depending on their attitude.

I love to hunt, so anything in season and legal,

Would love to hunt Elk someday! Love Deer hunting. But it is hard to beat Turkey hunting in the Spring woods of South Carolina. Hogs in South Carolina are a close 2nd.

Whitetails, Moose, Mule Deer and they are all doable.

Rooselk

Favorite? Tough question. It's probably a toss-up between roosies and Rocky Mountain elk. But I also enjoy hunting mulies.

As to an animal I'd like to hunt, someday I hope to draw a once-in-a-lifetime Washington State moose tag that I've been applying for for years.

Highplains and Curt,
Either you guys live on a different planet or those photos are "shopped"!  Where are the roads, the electric lines, I don't even see a beer can for authenticity-sake!

And Curt, thanks for the woods for my Schafer!

Roy,I can't wait to see your bow,thanks!

Is that lion now dead?  I don't know anything about them, but I would be a little worried if there are 2 dogs within 3 feet of it, and the lions attention is on the guy with the camera.  That looks like an awesome day spent afield.  As for me I was at work all day.

No the lion was not hurt. This is what happens when your the first one there and the guy with the collar handset to get the dogs off is still way below. The lion bailed to a tree just after this.I agree, not the best situation for the dogs.
I was there solely for the exercise, not my dogs and no interest in harvesting a lion,I love seeing them though.

Bowfishing for carp.... because there's no limit :-)

Shooting starlings with my pellet rifle comes in a close second... there's no limit limit on starling either.

If I ever get my newest bow tuned and shooting to POA this summer's goal is a ground hog.

Oh and deer too...but does anybody else like seeing them so much they pass on 1 or two before the resolve to take one wells up?
