This is my new hunting buddy Honey-4yo Labrador  retriever.I got her from the local sheriff's dept. She is a search/cadaver dog and I had worked with her on some jobs, the officer that was her handler is retiring and they weren't going to continue the program so he offered her to me.She will search live or dead people,And he said she also tracks deer like nothing you ever seen.He said as long as I work her she can find any deer I shoot.I had here in the woods today and her nose never left the ground. She is an amazing dog completely trained and obedient. Her last day as an officer was Friday and that morning she was actually called to do a search. Her and I are going to do a lot of woods time together.

Thanks for looking, and I will post pics of any deer she finds if I get to harvest any.

What a cool dog!  A great dog, yes, but cool, too!  I'd love to see a trained search dog go out hunting.
Life is a whole lot easier when you just plow around the stump.

Do not follow where the path may lead.  Go, instead, where there is no path and leave a trail.
