I got on the list, a couple of months ago,  for the Rodney Wright Firehawk bow pass around that was going on. I was #8 on the list, but haven't heard anything about it. Is it still going around? If so, come on guys, don't bogart!  :archer:

Hi rodney! Haven't taken time to tell you how great the bow you made me's shooting and it looks great two! For those who are waiting be patient it's worth the wait!
An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. So when life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means that it's going to launch you into something great.

caleb7mm

it shoots great and is light as a feather!!!! it goes out to tn this weekend

I picked up a tube from Phillip Floyd at the PO today. Could not imagine what it was. Thought I may have bought a bow in my sleep or something. Been so long ago I totally forgot about it. When I saw the "Pass Around" envelope then I remembered
We'll today was the first day over above freezing in Illinois in the last 2 weeks, so perfect timing. Took her out and strung her and popped about 50 arrows into the bag right off. I usually shoot 50# max and this is 56# so I thought I might not be comfortable but she pulled back like a 50# bow. So smooth. But she did not shoot like a 50# bow. I don't have a chrono but this bow shoots fast and flat. It was like I has been shooting her for a month. So comfortable. Dead in the hand and a great grip. Definitely on the wish list. Just a great, smooth, flat shooting hard hitting bow. Kudos Rodney.
I'll send her to Larry Dix end of next week if that's ok. Wish it was still deer season.

Thanks guys.
PS  Shipping tube still looking good. Waxed the string but the bow is in fine shape. No worse for the travelling. Looks like new.

I think I'm number 16 and looking forward to my "moment" with the firehawk!

Got to love the Firehawks. I will have the one I reviewed at the longbow Safari in Calgary this summer for any of you that want to test drive one and are not on the pass around list.

I have 6 arrows I won on a St Jude's auction. Were a little heavy for my recurve but shot great from the Firehawk. Been saving them for the right bow.
What's a good weight out of this bow? I ask because I don't remember what these arrows were shafted. Tips are 125grain and shafts are 11/32 shaft 3 fletch in Blue/White on a white wrap. Stained. Nice arrows.

Hey Sam

any where from 450 gr to 600 gr Should
work fine. She is not fussy as to what
you put through her.I would think 520 gr
should be almost perfect. Spine 55/60

Rodney.

Ssamac

Ok
Here's a pic of my last shots yesterday. Shooting Easton XX75: 2117 with 125gr points. They seemed to do the best of the arrows I had overall. However as Rodney said, bow is not fussy -- nothing really shot poorly.

Have to ask: What shape is this bow? It's a longbow but it's curved different. Almost like a horse bow but too long.

It's on its way to Larry Dix. I enjoyed it tremendously.
Thanks Rodney

Sam

Ssamac

Just a quick note; Larry you need to change the duct tape on the one end. The post office told me it was no longer allowed but let it ship. Otherwise I would have done it.

Enjoy

Thanks Sam, I'll do it. Looking forward to shooting it. Should be getting it anyday, now.

The Firehawk is on it's way to Chester Thompson as of Friday, 11 March.

I really enjoyed shooting this bow. It shot my 630gr. Carbons as well as my 570gr Supercedars, very well. It is a very smooth drawing, smooth shooting bow, that appeared to have pretty good speed. No hand shock at all, just a very smooth, quick release of the arrow. The best thing that I liked is the bow shoots exactly where you point it, no if, ands, or buts and feels very good in the hand. It was a very well constructed and one of the best quality built bows that I have seen. Good Job, Rodney. I see one of these in my future!

Thanks for allowing us the priviledge of shooting a very well crafted bow.

I will be looking for it today or tomorrow. I will let you know when I get it.
