WOOHOO..finished my first bow.

well....after months of trial and error i finally finished my very first longbow and i'll be damned if it ain't a shooter to boot.she's 64" long 3# @ 30" and boy howdy does she really zing'em right in there.i chroniographed this hellcat at an astounding 22fps.i searched the forest high and low looking for that perfect tree.well'' i'll be danged if this beut of a stick didnt find me.yessir she fell right outta the tree she was perched in just waitin for me to pass by.then 'BAM'it hit me.right on top the head.as much as it woulda pleased me to do this reveal as a buildalong i couldnt run the risk of being copied as this bow is slated to soon be in mass production.this is without a doubt the fastest frog sticker i ever had the pleasure of pullin back,she packs a real wallop i tell ya.my kinetic energy is through the roof brothers and sisters.a whopping 2 ft pounds.i know some will say thats impossible to accomplish with a stickbow but i was there,i seen it with my own eyes.you'd best call in your orders A.S.A.P.(After Saturday Afternoons Party)i fully expect the waitlist to hit 50 years in a matter of minutes so get yer orders in now.call me at 1-800-got-stroked to reserve your spot.  :D        :D   =http://images.imagelinky.com/1290108740.JPG] [/URL]

Could you send me a couple of those bowstrings.  I was thinking you could use some jute to make them, or good ol braided clothesline.  We just cant get that build quality out here.

the technique in how the string is fastened is what i find fascinating

That is the craftsmanship that is lacking out here.  Nobody adds tassels and knotwork like that to their bowstrings.
