Great story, you should be proud.  Had one do the same thing here in PA a couple years back, but it wasn't bear season, so I just watched him walk away.

Very cool story and an awesome picture. I do quite a bit of fishing in WV and have always wanted to hunt bears there. Congratulations on a wonderful trophy.
