I've always used coon scent on my boots to cover my trail to my stand, but seems like it gets less effective each year and I get busted alot.

Gonna give knee high rubber boots a try. WOW! I never thoght a rubber boot would be so expensive, and my brain is mush after cruising rubber boot sites.

If I could get some input from some of you using these boots would be great. ei; comfort, fit durability.

Thanks
Robert

i love my Muck boots.  They fit great and am going on 3 years with one pair. You can roll the boot top down if you need to cool down a little after a walk without taking them off.  I got an insulated pair last year for cooler weather and they are comfortable and warm.  i never could get used to the fitted ankle type rubber boots.    :)
Good luck in your search!

What Rastaman said!
Great boot.
The black one is fifty dollars cheaper than the camo and the same boot.

Well, I am going against the crowd.  The Muck boots don't like Arkansas saw briers.  I like to wear LaCrosse.  Burleys to be exact.  I usually get 3 or 4 years out of a pair.

Lacrosse Grange rubber boots. Best rubber for early season and only around 40.00 at the big Cabelas. it will make a world of difference.

Alpha Burleys here. Same pair 3 years now. I keep the plastic balloon things in them when not wearing them. Keeps the tops upright and prevents cracking.

I have a pair of Muck Boots, Woody Armor.  Easy on, easy off, waterproof, comfortable, and yes, snakeproof too.

Lacross Alpah Burly for the cold and the original unisulated for warmer weather.  I tried the muck too cause they were given to me but the lacross were more comfy and my muck had neoprene instead of rubber for tops which to me seems like it might hold odor.  I have yet to be busted bymy trail coming in with the lacross and the unisulated are light enough to stalk a lot as that is what I do most.  I do have patches on my unisulated as it is their 5th season this year but they are cold if you sit in a stand so if that is how you hunt get the alpha burly.

Had a pair of the Muck Chore boots last year and they were not built to withstand being punctured. I think the Muck Woodys are a better boot. I had to send the Mucks back and just recently purchased a pair of the 18 inch Alpha Burleys. Have not worn them yet but will be putting them to the test in Newfoundland in a few days.

Lacross Burly for me.  Served me well.

Good ol green Ankle fit Lacrosse burlys. Comfortable, cheap and last years. Don't get the Muck boots with neoprene uppers if you hunt in briars or blow downs. You'll rip them up in no time. They are comfy though.

BowMIke

I like the Muck boots best! Easy on and off and comfortable.

If you hunt alot, you cannot beat Le Chameau boots. The price is not so nice but in the long run they will save you hundreds. With the average Lacrosse or Muck boot cost $150.00 and only lasting 2-4 years at best. The Le Chameau will cost you double that but last a lifetime. I have one pair - leather lined that are over 20yrs old and a little faded but still in fantastic condition. The second pair are neoprene lined and five years old and as good as new. The natural rubber these are made of is the quietest and softest rubber going. When stalking they are next closest thing to bare feet.
