Great hunt this afternoon. I had a fawn come in around 8 yards and feed around. I saw movement to my left then a few minutes I saw those white feet coming thru the thicket. She watched her fawn feed for awhile then walked around 5 yards in front of my stand broadside.  I had my shot at her but I just couldn't shoot her especially her with a fawn.    Then got to watch the fawn and a rabbit chase each other almost laughed out a few times.  Wish I had had my video camera.  Sometime's it not the kill that makes memories or all about the kill.  Great evening !!

Looks like she is wearing arrow wraps.  That's pretty cool.

Gary,
I'm curious...Does her fawn have the socks? That is a really great pic of her as well.

That sounds like a great hunt.  sometimes we get to experience more when we don't shoot.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

No the fawn doesn't have any white markings other than its spots.

I've got pics of her from the last 3 yrs.  Its so cool to see those white feet walking thru the woods.

That's cool man, sometimes it is just better to sit back and watch.

That is really cool.  Sometimes I just would rather watch them go about their daily lives and take it all in than drop the string.

Like I have said before to you on Facebook I could not shoot her.

James I remember you saying that.  When the fawn gets older and loses its spots it may be another story. She doesn't look as stocky in the pic.

artelkhunter

Some kind of doe pic! That's a good example of why trail cams are so much fun.

Sounds like a great hunt. I'd have done the same, and have. Thanks for sharing.

It's about being there, not about killing. That's what makes up close archery so awesome.
