Funny he popped up here. I was just recommended his pre orbital lure from a guy that re did my roof and started using it 3 weeks ago. Within the first week I had bucks hitting it!

I heard about Smokey from the thread posted by Bearbowman the "bowmaster" . When I called Smokey I found we had a lot in common as I had trapped over 30 years . I know the value a good scent can make and the disasters that can be caused by poor scents . I have always made my own mock scrapes usually using a real buck foot either from a deer I shot or from a road killed buck . I have had good results with this method . About a week ago I got some of Smokie's pre-orbital lure and immediately went out to one of my favorite public land hunting area and made a scrape . Even though it was only 2 days before the season opened I thought it would be worked within the next couple weeks . Opening day I had to work and couldn't get out early so thought I would just sit my stand over the scrape as it is only about 10 miles from home . It was getting late by the time I got there with maybe 1 1/2 hours of light left . 3 deer browsed by me , 2 small bucks and a doe , and all came over and milled around the scrape without going into it. With about 15 minutes of shooting time left a noticed a deer circleing downwind of me , I'll post more later , he came in slow and went out fast carrying a simmons interceptor and wood shaft .
