I just sent a PayPal payment for a used Crow Creek Black Feather. It'll be shipped today. This one looks a bit different than the other four I've owned. The bow is 62", 45#@28", Bocote, Birdseye Maple and Phenolic riser and Actionboo limbs with Bocote wedges.

It will still shoot......just like the other Blackfeather's do.

Don,

I know, that's why I bought it.  All of my others were in the 48# to 50#@28" draw range.  This 45#@28" bow will be much better for my joints.  And it'll still shoot great!   :)

Really nice Bill. I thought you were a Stahl shooter. How will you have time to shoot ALL your bows?

I'm with ya Bill.......I try to stay in the mid 40's myself. I'm not having any joint problems and don't want to later either.......and besides, I think 45# will do just fine with today's bows.

Very nice Bill, sure is a looker!! I am paying now for shooting 70 and 80#ers year ago. I now stick to 52-55#s and that is good for now!! Best of luck with her!! Shawn

Nice bow Bill , I really love the way a Blackfeather looks and very smooth on the draw . The guy you got from ( Paul ) is a heck of a good guy also .

Somewhere around 150.  I'm a farm clubber compared to some!  :)

I forgot to add that it's been 150 bows over the past 10 years.

Shawn,

Thanks!  I suspect I have a few years on you.  I turned 63 this past January.  Every year I find myself having to drop a pound or two in draw weight thanks to a high school football injury to my right shoulder.  :(

Gorgeous bow.  Enjoy it.

I shoot 55 lbs to save the shoulders for my older years.  I am still fairly young at 42.  I can shoot 70 lbs but know I would regret it later.

Shawn,

Didn't I buy the rights to a Marriah Thermal slot from you about 5 or 6 years ago?  I owned that bow twice and finally sold it again.  It came out too heavy for me at 53#@28".  I have a nice one now that is 46#@28".  Below is a pic of it:

The riser is Ziricote and Bocote with Yew accents and the limbs are Yew.  What's hard to believe is I paid the same price for this bow as I did for the one I bought 5 or 6 years ago.

Make that "It Ships Today!!!"  DD had to go out of town on travel a couple of days unexpectedly and wasn't able to get the bow shipped on Tuesday.  He's going to ship it overnight for delivery tomorrow!  That's service!!   :)   :)

Be sure and post some more pics when you get it.

David,

I will.  This is one of the prettier Black Feathers that I have seen.  Elmer builds a very high quality and sweet shooting bow.
