When I started archery, there were 2 things that I was absolutely, positively, never, ever, ever, going to do in my life. I was never going to go bowfishing, and I was never going to have a bow with osage in it. Boy have times changed since then. I go fishing almost everyday now (my favorite part of archery), and Osage is my favorite wood.

I got my new Lost Creek today. Bow is it purdy. Nice lines, great craftsmenship, and it shoots better than any bow I own. Did I mention it was purdy? This bow has some grainy osage limbs with a charcoal black riser. The overlays are jaw dropping for me. It's what my dreams are made of. I gotta hand it to Chad, she's real awesome. I had a last minute change from curly maple to osage and man was it worth it. Never thought I'd say this but I LOVE Osage.

The pics will hopefully speak for themselves. (if they're sized right       )

My favorite! (below)

I just can't for the life of me figger out who Kiefer is...      You guys know?

I've seen a lot of Chad's bows but this is my favorite. I can't express how much I love it in words. It's really just perfect.

Never thought I'd LOVE Osage but I do.

Enjoy.

Had to toss in my 18 pound 31" Carp. Biggest so far. (Got it sized right!)

Great looking Bow! But that picture of "Carla the Carp" scares me a little. I keep waiting on it to turn around and sing..Take me to the River, and throw me in the water..LOL  :scared:

Congrats on the new Bow, she's a beauty!

Hey K!
Man that's an awesome bow! From what I hear, some time in the sun will make that Osage mellow nicely into a sweet orange color. That photo with the POV of the sight window needs to be framed and put on your wall. I told you Chad would do you right!

Oh and by the way, this is the second or third time i've seen that field in your photos. If that is your backyard or something I'm gonna have to have some serious range envy.

Good on you!

That's my playground.

Yep, we got 4 acres sittin behind the castle growin alfalfa. I have an 80 yard range staked out and we mow a strip all down the side of the field so I don't lose my arrows.

I'm anxious to see how the Osage changes. That was another thing that I really like about it.

Thanks for all the good words guys!

Chad, I'm kind of torn between the two. I still need to shoot my NAT some more before I come to a complete decision. I'll have pics of the 58" one up tonite hopefully and you guys can see that one. She's an awesome shooter.

Thanks guys! And thanks Chad!

K. Mogensen

Okay, here's the pics of the 58" Lost Creek I have too. This one had some blems under the glass which is why I got the Osage one. It's still very sharp looking and shoots like no one's business. It's got Paduke limbs with Charcoal black riser.

Chad, I got some more pics for you and I'll tell you guys my thought's on the bows a bit later with my ultimate decision on which model I like better. It's dinner time right now.

Enjoy!

K. Mogensen

Forgot to throw this one in for COLongbow.

My range is 80 yards, staked every 10 yards.

COLongbow

Hey K!
Thanks for the range pic. I really didn't have enough envy in my life.  :)
Seriously, that's super sweet!

That second bow I like better than the first one! Looks a lot like mine. I'm interested to know your thoughts on the comparison between the 58" longbow and the NAT, feel and performance wise. My LC is 60" and draws butter smooth.

BTW, I was at the range on Sat and this guy, nice feller, was having his wheelie bow worked on 'cause it had some kind of noise when he shot. He was eyeballing my LC so we got to talking and I let him shoot it. He had never shot a trad bow before but was putting them into a pie plate at 15 yds right off the bat. Really shows the inherent accuracy of a well designed bow like the Lost Creek. I could tell that shooting it got his wheels turning. (pun intended.)

Take care and good shooting, bud!
