What do you prefer?
A bow w/ many types of wood and reenforcement stripes or one type of wood w/ little or no stripes?
I perfer the later and always looked at reenforcement as racing stripes and many wood combos to unattractive.
Just give me a great peice of wood and some great veneers to match w/ reenforcement that blends in or non at all.

I like woods that compliment each other to be formed and perfectly fitted together making one beautiful unit.

I like contrasting wood combinations for myself.  But a pretty piece of cocobola, ebony (especially striped or dalmation), osage, or bocote will catch my eye also.  :)

My eyes prefer at least two different woods. Contrast is nice, but then again I like woods that "compliment" each other. Sometimes the "third" wood in a limb veneer can compliment both riser woods.

I have this undeniable affliction for pretty and unique wood.......it's a weakness.......I know.

I have nothing against a single piece of specific wood as long as it has some "character".

I'm done with pretty bows! I've smashed, dinged and dented enough, skins look great but all that pretty stuff is not for me. My favourite wood is black phenolic! Now when I scratch or ding em I get out some wet and dry and spit, seconds later no boo boos and away I go.

I love cocobolo and bocote with a nice pair of snake skins but like hunt it said if you are going to really use a hunting bow then you might want black phenolic.

Im pretty new to the sport so i still love those fancy bows.

I own only one recurve that I don't think is beautiful with exotic woods, contrasting tones, and terrific grain.  That recurve (Hoyt Gamemaster-a great perfomance bow) hasn't been off the rack since 2006 when I took it to Colorado as a back up for my compound (sorry).  I have a Snake Bit on order which is testiment to my irrational (?) love of beautiful wood work.  One of my degrees is in Forestry so that's my excuse. I'm also teaching myself to make minitature trees from wire.  I'm a nut-for-wood. My squirrel rifles are so purty I can hardly stand to take em out of the safe! I know this is CRAZY but there must be a bunch of us out there.

Osage is my favorite by far but, I like a combination of woods also. Sometimes there's nothing better looking that a good Bacote riser with a lighter wood.

Not into combos at all-I prefer the laminates to be subdued as well.

I like two different woods that are esthetically pleasing to the eye.

I like the 2 wood combos but that is just me. I have more than a few keepers (hunting bows) that are pretty and pretty dinged up.

I love a combo; there are so many nice ones.  I also love Combos, pretzel and cheeder cheese.

Metal or phenolic are just fine with me.When you camo a bow you can't see the wood anyway.

I like a little contrat between the riser and limbs, but other than that I prefer a simple look and like the looks of colored glass very much on the limbs. I guess it's because I'm getting to be an old timer and it harks back to the days when that was mostly all there was--black, brown, green, white glass.  Still conjures good feelings.  :)

Take downs I prefer combos, one peices I prefer 1 wood, just due to the smaller riser.
