With thunderstorms and rain forcasted, we decided to hit the river very early to take advantage of the early activity, and hopefully beat the rain.

Cade decided he'd sleep in, so I met Gary K. and Glenbo at the river. We separated to work diff. parts of the water.

After about an hour and a half the thunder was rolling and the rain had started. Time to get off the water!

As I was walking toward the trucks, I could see them coming from the opposite way. They'd also had some shooting...
•

Unfortunately the rain didn't last as long as everyone hoped(very. very dry around here). By early afternoon it had stopped, and the humidity was stifling, but Cade and I decided to have some more fun and hit a local pond...

As you could see by those pix, the farmer is pumping water out of the pond to save his apples...we need rain!

Another shot he made good on with his little longbow almost parallel to the ground...
•

Once again, Cade did the majority of the shooting. He ended up with 8 big frogs this time!
•

Tonight we eat these legs and turkey cutlets from this past spring!

Yeah.. really cool Curt!
I should have him stop by my house. We have a big ol bullfrog in the pond that drives my wife and I nuts at night with the constant calling! Can't even have the windows open.
