Howdy. Jim, told me all about your bow.  said he was embarrassed about the girlish colors you picked...hot pink accent stripe???  i see you live in orgegon.  when i heard about your bow i figured you were from san francisco.  i'd still like to see pics though.  congrats on new bow! a bow from big jim, or jim neaves?? or another jim perhaps...

brinkwolf

Congrats. My new BW Tulipwood longbow is suppose to arrive tonight(can't wait to see it). Also the +/- bow weight deal is fun because it is a supprise what weight it ends up. When I first ordered it I paid for exact weight, then I called back and told them just as long as it's 70-75lbs at 30" so that way they it wouldn't take as much time to get. So they refunded me the difference and said we will get between 70-75lbs at 30" for you.

OK, no more anticipation Snag let's get on with the pics!

Pete, that made me laugh! Good one.  Just because I live in the tie-dyed capitol of the world among the granola heads and Dead Heads doesn't mean some of us native Oregonians, whose only dead head is one up on the wall, aren't still are around up here.

Ok here you go guys.........

How's that?....

I'm always first and foremost concerned with a bow's performance and how it sits in your hand. I don't care so much about the speed factor. But how well it transfers the stored energy into the arrow without undesirable vibration in the bow hand is a big deal to me. Also drawing this bow to anchor was very even and smooth. Jim listens very well. I told him what kind of grip I was looking for in a bow. He pretty much nailed it.

Nice one, David... no take that back, WOW! Hope it shoots as good as it looks, and I am almost at the end of my wait for a bow from Jim as well - Reynolds that is.

Hope the wrist is healed.

Dangit!  That grip is beautiful.  I want one now.   :(   Does Jim have a website where I can get more info?

The wrist is good J.Michael, thanks.  No one armed pushups yet...oh yeah, I never could do those anyway.

McFlurry just do a search for Centaur Archery and you'll find his site.

Shadman, just found another peg on the bowrack and thought while I'm waiting for my Blacktail order to be done I'd try one of the Centaurs. It's good to broaden your horizons isn't it? haha

It's fun to shoot both a R/D longbow and a fine recurve.

Nice bow, David.  Glad it shoots sweet for you.

Guys, he ain't kiddin about the tie dye and Dead Heads!  I was over there a couple Summers ago and in downtown, there is a 4 square blocks farmers market / flea market.  I saw more tie dyed shirts, Birkenstocks and metaphysical stuff than I have seen since Woodstock.  The Patchouli oil smell was everywhere!  Peace and Love

Here you go McFlurry.

Hi Ray, you ought to be over here now! The Oregon Country Fair is "happening".  This thing really brings them out from all over the U.S.A.
It's a good time to leave town and do some scouting and shooting.

Dang I wish you hadn't put those pics on here. The only thing I see wrong with it....it's not hanging on my rack!   Great looking bow!
