Here is the story over on Highlights but I must add this is my first recovered one.

The last time I had a chance the critter took off down a hole along with my arrow. Not this time!!!!!  :goldtooth:

That's awsome! Those critters are hard to sneak up on. I've got a den in my back yard that needs thinned out. Couple of close calls but not yet. Way to go!

I was seriously going to clean it and try it out. Heard some good things about them.

Unfortunately upon inspection this thing was covered with parasites. YUCK!!!    :thumbsup:

They do taste quite good. Kinda squirrel/rabbit/venison like. Younger ones are better (more tender)

It does add zip! I got her tuned in and things are flying very nicely.    ;)       :archer2:

To me, the ultimate challenge in bowhunting is not how far away you can succesfully make a killing shot but rather how close you can get to the animal before shooting.

Ground hog leather is amazingly tough - makes the best lace material. Young ones good on the grill and slow cook the old ones.
