Heading into 24 years now. Greatest show on earth. Watch your back and complacency will get you hurt or killed. Gain the communities trust and a simple smile or wave goes along way. There is still good people left out there.

New Wood

29 years with our City PD, about 5 to go.  Lots of good days, some bad, but I can't imagine ever doing anything else.

pintail_drake2004

6 years local part-time, going on 1 year for Federal Corrections. Being a LEO is something that gets into your blood-either you love it or hate it! My biggest concern/goal in this field is that all my brothers in blue go home at night.

Corrections Officers don't count?? Then who gives us the authority to enforce and MAKE the rules?

I scored pretty high on the entrance exam, so the city I work for offered me a Firefighters job instead. Haha

Ken Davis

24 years and counting at a large Sheriff's Office around  Tampa Fl.  Front row seat to the greatest show on earth some days, other days not so much.   Have been afforded the opportunity to attend some of the best training in the world...leadership and otherwise...none of it holds a candle to good ole country boy common sense.  Doesn't surprise me to find lots of LEO's on here.
