I really like to shoot my bows.  Everyday, a couple of times a day.  So, I told myself that I needed a rest from the bow today.  My fingers hurt, my arm hurts, my back hurts, my giblets hurt.  I don't know if I'm going to make it - maybe just a few... later this afternoon.  With a light bow.  Yea - that's the ticket!!!  H

laughing with you. I did that yesterday, fortunately it is raining hard today and I'm forced to rest,, or I could put on my rain gear.

Best to just give in to it, if you fight it too hard the withdrawal is killer.

We are what we do repeatedly. Execellence is, therefore, not an act but a habit.

So whats the problem. At least it's not a drug addiction. If you cant go outside you should have a back up indoor target that matches the kitchen like I do!

That's not a problem.......A problem is when you tell your wife you're building your house 64' long with 10' basement walls so you'll have a place to shoot when the weather is bad   :readit:

I don't mind shooting in the rain, but my wife hates the mud I track in.

I try to shoot at least 40 to 50 arrows every day. Sometimes alot more. I find the older you get if you dont you seem to get weaker quick, at least I do.

Well I failed.  It was the lure of a new bow string that did it.  I thought that I could make a new string and that would help with the urge.  But, well after you make a string, you need to shoot a few to get the thing to proper length.  So, I shot a few, adjusted, shot a few, adjusted, and after about 45 min. of this I realised that I may as well just shoot a few for fun.  Oh well maybe tomorrow.  H

When not at the range during winter I set up my block in laundry room and shoot to keep in shape and work on form. First time my wife saw me stringing my bow this winter asked what I was going to do. I told her shoot in laundry room. Should have seen the look I got. But shooting through living room from back of house is out or I might be single.
