Last week I posted for some advice on selling my wheels (which I was not honestly too crazy about doing) to get a recurve as I had to sell my bows for family reasons.  Well several generous tradgangers offered to loan me a bow and today I met with one gent in particular who lent me a nice Daemon Howatt Hunter... not a Martin, and ORIGINAL!! Shooting it feels like shooting a piece of history.  What a great bow!  I took it out and shot some unmatched arrows into my 3D deer and killed it! It felt great to be back to shooting instinctive instead of focusing in trigger control...

Thanks to all of you who offered your opinions and suggestions!  And a special thanks to all who offered to lend a bow or give a bow... You all are welcome at my campfires anytime.

As a quick follow-up, we are making it work with a strict budget.  Hopefully I will be able to sell some misc. items to get a nice matching set of arrows in the next week or so.  Still have the wheels at home, but more open to giving them up if it becomes necessary.

God bless you all.
God Bless,
Erik

Sell them wheels and you'll have the money to buy those extras.  :saywhat:

Bought my Mathews Switchback in 2005 [fifth compound and last] shot 5-6 buck with it and in 2008 sold it. Have not looked back, this year killed my first two trad deer. Both with my buddies Black Widow. Now shooting an Elburg and bear Kodiak Hunter, will never hunt compound agin.

Cut the string. You'll never regret it and if you don't...there is a bible verse that kinda fits..."you can't serve two masters..."
