We finally got a break from all the snow and ice that's hitting us week after week so I thought I would see if I could locate some gobblers for the spring season and maybe find a few sheds while I was at it.

I was in to the turkeys pretty quick but couldn't get close enough for some really good pics.

I was working my way down a hedge row and watching for trails crossing the fence hoping there would be a shed or two.

I saw a few deer jump up ahead of me and take off so I stopped and tryed to get a pic but they were to fast. I couldn't help but notice the size and how strait some of these Osages trees were and how I needed to harvest some of them for bow wood.

Take a closer look at the first big tree half way up.

Even closer!!

Now, What are the odds of walking down a half mile long hedge row on crunchy snow and ice and stopping at a certain spot looking up and seeing this. I would say that it was pure luck!!

That was my first view when I looked up. I'm sure glad I had the camera.

Makes me wonder how many times while squirrel hunting while lookin up in trees did I not see one, lol.  I have seen one before, but it disapeared, now I know.  I dont know why it never occured to me that they can climb trees.  I have read that gray foxes can too!
