70 something KH 60" 50 @ 28.  I draw about 30 and it shoots 2018's with 145 up front like they are darts.

I like Kodiak bows, it is what I used on stage in 1985/86.  Have one Fred sent me signed.  Have never had the nerve to string it...

Maybe my son will string it when I give it to him someday, along with my entire collection. I love those vintage old Bear bows.

I use a Hoyt these days and love them, but there's a beauty to those old Bear bows.

I have 6 Kodiak Hunters and love shooting them but with my 30in draw i seem to hit a wall before i get to anchor.

I have one, s '72 45# KH I killed a doe with in 2008.  They are stable shooters but not especially quick.  I do like to shoot it now and again though.  It's one of two I have here that will be grandsons' bows when they can pull it.

I got me a 50# kodiak hunter and shoot easton axis 500's cut at 28 1/4" with a 200gr point.  Never shot anything with it but hope to tonight!
It's not about the kill but the experience.

I haven't killed anything yet with my '69, 65# Kodiak Hunter; but on the weekend, I took it on its first good stalk in Australia (it has seen heaps of action in Alaska), and we followed a good boar for some distance trying to get close-enough, but he cut our scent eventually and blew-out of there. Some time later, I missed (only just) a feral dog.

I have a '57 Kodiak that I picked up from a fellow-tradganger that had been referbed...it is 51 at 28 and I draw to 29. I am shooting a Carbon Express Edge 250 (skinny arrow) with a 46 grain insert that comes with the arrows and a 200gr Muzzy Phantom. I am gonna kill something with it soon!

I have been wanting to get a Kodiak, Had a Grizzly that burnt up in a house fire. I ve been shooting a longbow for the last 6 years, but have been wanting to try a bear recurve again.

my old high school "partner in crime" who i haven't seen in 15 years went to a back room
and pulled out of the corner a RH kodiak hunter,
green,60in.,45lb, and gave it to me last week.
it cleaned up just fine. i'm a lefty, but i shoot it any way.

Just shot mine tonight for the first time with a broadhead. 43@28 Kodiak Hunter pulled to 30-31", 32"2016 with a Bear greenie on the end and a Flipper rest, the arrows fly like a dart, guess I have a new number one whitetail bow. [note I was also shooting 3 4" feathers, great flight!]

jrbows

76 or 77 kodiak hunter 56lb, bear wood arrows refletched and razor heads, seems to prefer 10 grains per pound and 5 or 5 1/2 inch shield cut,it's not fast enough to be unforgiving, but it is fast enough.

Downtime

Have two Kodiak Hunters both are 58" one is 43# and the other is 45#.  Both cast a 29 1/2", 2016 with 125 gr. tip (Snuffer for hunting). Both use a 12 strand, 3 bundle B-50 flemish string and each has a Hoyt style pro-rest.  I like the 3R Mini-Boa bow quiver.  These bow's have harvested abouted 10 whitetail over the last  10 year.  They are a little more noiser but I found that wool Bow Hush with rubber cat whiskers helps quiet the bow.

Hello, I have an original 1957 Kodiak that I will hunt with one day. The old guy I bought it off showed me a picture of himself with this bow and a huge moose he had slain with it. Don't think I have his nerve for that.
