Just got this in the mail this morning.  It's a mid 60's United States Archery Co., Texan model.
It's 62" long, 45# at 28".  Riser is buginga, and limb tip overlays are maple/walnut.  Unique green glass on belly and back.  U.S. Archery and Tri State Archery, were one in the same and operated out of Danbury, Connecticut.

Looks like quite a shooter with those skinny tips.  I like the funky green glass.

Hi George.  If I can ever figure out new technology I'll send out some photos of a few Tri State bows I own.  You might want to look up Dave Owens, last known address in New Fairfield Ct.  He is Louie Owens son.  He had several of his dad's bows in mint condition.  Maybe he might part with 1 or 2.  Not sure.  If interested I could try to locate him.  Let me know.  Anton

Glue lines are tight on her, and the tips are solid.  I shot about two dozen arrows in my snowbound backyard 8^).  It's quiet shooting, and seems pretty quick, but it doesn't like my 2016 arrows....a tad too stiff at 28 1/4" length.
It stacks arrows nicely though 8^).

Nice bow George, chuck a bit of furniture polish at that thing an you've got a big dollar custom.
Winning or losing is not the important thing,,the important thing is how well you played the game.

George, you and those "classic" curves seem to get along quite well. I guess maybe you just go together like peas in a pod.  :bigsmyl:

George, as always, you seem to find the relics of past. Just like you, I like that green glass.
I've only seen a couple of those old Texans advertised, and now their value just went up in my minds eye.
Thanks for the pics and the wisdom.

Very cool bow George, I don't think I have ever seen one of those before.

Good looking bow.
As an apostate Texan myself, I would have expected the bow to be a little louder.   :)
