Ted Fry made the front page of the Columbian newspaper (print) in a story by Tom Vogt.

If you're ever in the vicinity of Hood River, OR, it would be well worth your while to pay a visit to Ted's shop.  It is really more of an archery museum than a shop.  Ted is a real storehouse of information on Archery history, and if you can visit his shop when he has time to talk with you, you will enjoy the experience.

Technology....the knack of arranging the world so that we don't have to experience it.

Bring money if you do! Lots of good stuff at Raptor.

Proud to call Ted a friend. If you spend enough time around him, you'll get to see his special, secret stalking technique....

Congrats on the front page Fred, well deserved publicity.

Thanks guys , hard to trust someone you dont know to do a good job on a story, glad it came out well.
JC ya know it took me several years to perfect that style of hunting , next time we get together for a hunt( maybe hogs down in your part of the country) I will show you just how effective that is.
I didnt give it enough time on that hunt for it to develop into a great hunting opportunity.
Matter of fact I think it was because all the noise you were making , something about cactus spines!   :bigsmyl:

Do not follow where the path may lead.  Go, instead, where there is no path and leave a trail.

Hey Ted
Thats how we do it in Oz when the mercury is bubbling
I think I could hunt that way too

HA! Yep, cactus spines sounds about right...only that pic wouldn't be prudent to post.

You lemme know when you want to come down, my place is yours.

Hey way to go Ted, congrats on the good press.  You deserve it and more.

Hey, I think I saw Ted use that same stalking technique when we were moose hunting on the Sheenjek River, a bit north of the Arctic Circle.

Dang, he told me it was TOP SECRET!

Bjorn

Very happy to see that Ted. Well deserved and about time.

Thats cool, would like to read that. See if they mention where Ted sucks you in with a resonably priced bow building class and then proceeds to get you addicted to trying to craft something even close to what he does. Thanks Ted see ya soon

Ted Fry

Rik buddy , yep thats the same type of hunting that I showed you in AK , but it worked that time didnt it?
Did you ever thaw out from swimming that cold river?
I did the same thing on a bear hunt in AK ,found a nice spruce log to lean against,  woke up and there was a nice black bear that I managed to shoot. Never under estimate the power of a good nap

Tom Phillips

Ted nice to see GOOD NEWS in the newspaper, cool article and well deserved.

I had the pleasure of hanging around Raptor Archery for a few days a couple years ago and was in archery heaven up in the shop and slept in the loft with cool bows, books etc.And was able to get Ted to take down one at a time the antique Osage & Yew selfbows of longbow design, flatbow & static tip.
By all means stop in to see Ted and his cool shop & archery museum. Also have him let you test drive his HEAVY training bow in the back room !!!
