Well today I woke up with an idea for a St.Jude item for auction.I want to get a notebook and pass it around to whoever wants to add to it.I'm thinking one page per person with a short tale of a most memorable hunting trip and then sign and date that page.It must be kept to one page per person.And when it's done we can auction it off"Tales of the Trad Gangers".It's just an Idea I'm sure the mods would have to ok the title.But who would be in to participating?

Awesome idea. also adding a pic too. Why not make it a binder with those clear plastic pouches and everyone can make their own page and send it to you? Let us know.

I'm up for the binder idea I have a guy who does leather and I can have him cover one.Just need everyone to get in on it and get the ok for the title since it has Trad Gangers,And don't want to overstep myself.

I am in. We could just email stories to you and they would be easy to print off and out into page covers.

Sounds like a great idea.  I really like the idea of the contributors writing their story out by hand and finishing it with a signature.  That makes it much more personal and I think it would be more valuable as well. Pictures would be a great bonus.

Would 1 page be enough? One good huntin story could fill up a dozen pages.

We should limit it to two pages anything else would I would have to make multiple volumes.

I like the idea, but I would recommend make a template to follow.  If no template, you won't have everyone giving out same info and leaving a lot of unanswered questions

animal taken (specifics if any) e.g. Whitetail buck, blacktail doe, etc. etc.
date and location:
weight if known
Type bow (specifics of bow and AMO, weight and draw
Type arrow
Type broadhead
distance of shot
method taking animal:  stalk, climber, ground blind etc.
distance to recovery


brief summary that led up to kill,during kill and after kill.

Right.  If you ar going to use a binder, people can print the template, fill in their story and mail it to you.  Cool idea.

I'm working on a template for all to print and fill out so it's all uniform.I'm having an issue with the format and it will be done soon.
