I have a Hoyt Gamemaster II.  I noticed today that my string is not in the groove on the bottom limb.  I unstrung the bow and restrung it making sure it was seated in good and I made one shot and it was out of the groove again.  What could be causing this.

THANKS

Limb is twisted a little bit.  With it strung counter rotate that tip and draw and let down until it rides in the groove.

Twisted Limb! Or if it's a takedown bow maybe it's not put together correctly.

What Mike said!  Just go slow.  Counter twist a little bit at a time.  Bill Mc

I agree, limb twist. It's pretty common, but also pretty easy to fix. Just follow the advice given and you'll be fine.

And if you're not using a stringer, you should be!

I just tried said technique and it worked very well.  My top limb is almost as good as new.  I am very careful storing my bow. Today the loop on my top notch popped and lost 2 threads. It didnt come lose but it alowed the top limb to get a pretty bad twist in it.  By the way, thats that second time a string has broken on my from that brand (highly regarded company in small string). First time was above the bottom notch, about 2").  I check my loops almost every shot since then.  I have given up on that brand.  Endless loop dacron is plenty good!

If you are shooting your bow on a regular bases leave your bow strung.

Bottom limb. Don't stand the bow up in a closet or in a corner. Hang it by the string or across two pegs. Hap

I agree,it sounds like a twisted limb.
I would never string a Bow,Longbow or Recurve, without a stringer period!
