I have been getting some questions asking if Arrow Dynamic's have any charts.  They do, and are now listed on my website.

after shooting ad trads (not tradlites) for at least a coupla years, i think it's almost silly for an ad spine chart.  my ad trad arrows are cut 29.25" long and it don't matter whether the front end total is 152gr or 427gr, that arrow (with offset only, 4" four fletch) flies so nice outta longbows ranging from 45# to 55#.

Rob you are right, but I still get a lot of questions on which arrow will work better.  The charts will help out.

Rob DiStefano

ad carbons are almost in a class by themselves, as their chart depicts - almost all arrow lengths and bow holding weights will work!

How about Trad Lights in a 40-45# bow?
(The chart only goes down to 55#)

The trad lights at .350 deflection are WAY stiffer than the #1916 (.610 spine)alums I am now using?

I'd like to try some, but dont want to invest that kind of cash not knowing if they will work?

Thanks

I agree with Rob. Been shooting AD Trads for a couple of years,30.5" with 100 gr brass insert and 300 xtreme heads, perfect out of my 60-64# recurves and longbow. According to the chart the AD Trad-lites should work but do not fly correctly for me. I will stick with my Trads and Hammerheads. Best dang shaft I have ever shot except for Sweetland Forgewoods. Still got a couple doz of those stashed away in case I get the urge to shoot wood again.

I bought my first set of Arrow Dynamics from Ted Frey at Raptor.  I got talking to him on the phone, asking how he thought they would work with my set-up. He told me he usually just left them full length, fletched them up and started shooting.  He had rarely found a bow that they didn't fly like darts out of.  I got them and it worked for me too.  Kinda takes a lot of the mystery out of the whole tuning process.

Man.........You guys are killin' me !!! I'm dying to give these shafts a try. I've got an add in the classifieds right now just looking for one or two to purchase and give them a go for myself.

I'm like Gene, I don't wanna plop down $200 for a dozen arrows that I can't shoot. Hopefully, something will come up, and I can give them a go.

3 Rivers is now selling a test kid of AD's with one of each - trads, trad lites, hammerheads, and hammerhead lites. I'm going to get one see what I like then pass 'em on I think.

Thanks Oregon Okie   :bigsmyl:

I'm gonna order a test kit tomorrow. I had no idea that 3Rivers sold them in a test kit, or I would have ALREADY have them.

Dang...are they really that easy to tune?
Haven't heard much about them before.

Paul Mattson

Robert, all you need to do is fletch, cut, and shoot.  That's all it takes.

Mike Gerardi

I just had some Trad lites cut to 29inches. They shoot weak out of my 63lb Shrew.

Mike Gerardi

Rob what length do you draw with your arrows cut to 29.25

Hmmmm...which would you recommend from a 54@29 recurve..trad or lite? It would be a 30in arrow.

PS. I like a 150gr BH.

Paul Mattson

The Trad Lites will work fine out of your set up.

shooting 31" ad trads w/ 100gr brass insert out of my 50@28 longbows just fine, i'm drawing 29.5. like others have said doesn't matter what you put up front everything seems to work. i tend to think longer ad trads are more universal than the trad lites, especially if you want to load up the front end or increase your poundage down the road.
