Well, I have purchased my first long bow. I have shot only one or two in my time. The first one I shot years ago had so much hand shock I didn't think I would ever shoot another. This past summer I shot a buddies that had absolutely none and was an awesome experience and it got me on the lookout for one.

I picked up this Crow Creek Mag from a fellow tradganger. This past weekend I met up with three other buds and we headed to the local 3-D shoot. I'm not much of a foam shooter but I shot it really well (for me that is) and I really like it. I have never liked light colored woods on a bow though so my plan is to sell this one and order a new one from Elmer.

That sure is a pretty bow TJ....the only time I get in a shooting position like that is with TP in hand not a bow...lol

By the way what are you buying the wife to get the new bow? I think there was a thread earlier about this bow.....

Maybe a can of black Krylon would take care of your problems with the light colored limbs!!

Terry, haha, we were taking turns choosing places to shoot from at the 3-D shoot. I actually chose this sitting position shot. Can't see but am sitting on a log. We also let the worst shot pull the arrows so that keeps you focused.

Yep this is the refrigerator bow. I'm figuring I can sell this one and get the other one in here undetected though with some of the pointers some of the long time bow buyers have p.m.'d me.

I've thought about it Allen, but the birdseye maple is too beautiful to do that to.

Jake, You just trying to get me to hold off on the black spray paint? LOL. Actually I've ordered a new string for it before I sell it. Allen's made me one of his fantastic 8 strand padded to 16 loops flemish twist D97 strings.

P.M me if you really have any interest, I've got you down as first buyer.

That's a Crow Mag.....isn't it??? If you like it, you should really try a Black Feather, before you order a new one. I have a 62" one that Elmer built for me....he sure builds a nice bow, and it isn't hard on the eyes either. The grip on the Blackfeather is much more like a recurve grip than a longbow grip. They sure are sweet shooting bows and Elmer definitely knows how to build 'em.

Don, Yes its a Mag. I love this bow. I'm a short riser guy. I would like to shoot the blackfeather some day for sure to see the difference but doubt if I would order one though due to I like 'em short. The riser on this Mag is very similar to my Morrison Cheyenne A riser with a little lower grip.
