With the quick desert trip behind us, we were back home in the tropical Top End where the monsoon season has transformed the place, giving it life for another year. A stroll looking for pigs and donkeys, which is quite like searching for a needle in a haystack at this time of year, soon degenerated into a tropical-style stump-shoot, with the unfortunate termite mounds copping a hiding. I hope you enjoy these photos.

We slew many beasts, including moose and grizzly bear, elephant and boar, armadillo and rabbit. Here are just a few of them...

Tony shot this skinny gofer at an amazing forty yards - flamin' show-off!

Before too long, a ghastly game of "Smash-your-mate's-arrow" began, with each of us taking turns to shoot first, and much anxiety as the other fellows take their shot at your arrow. Happily, no arrows were actually killed...

However, one of Tony's gaudy arrows did receive a scrape from one of mine...

It being cyclone season and all, I had the misfortune of a sudden gust blowing a tree into my arrow's path as I tried to shoot through a gap...

Ben,
You have to learn to play the wind. Next time shoot for the tree, the wind will steer your arrow right into your mates nock!

Looks like some great times, hope to make it there in the near future!
Just have to convince the Wife she needs an Australian Holiday!
